Spin it again.

It never fails. Every time I make a microwave breakfast burrito, the radio station signal goes out. Now everybody in the Central New York DMA knows when I have my morning nosh! Christ on a bike - whatever happened to privacy? Did I say piracy or privacy? Strange how similar those two words are. Anyhow, things are heating up here at the abandoned Cheney Hammer Mill, home of Big Green. We're furiously hacking away at the strange, strange project that is Cowboy Scat: Songs in the Key of Rick - a collection of original material attributed to "cousin" Rick Perry, governor of Texas, much as the psalms are attributed to Solomon and "Greensleeves" is attributed to Henry XIII. (It is our way of paying tribute to our cousin ... who is actually only our cousin in the sense that Henry Jones was Dr. Smith's cousin on Lost in Space .) We're busily mixing away, twisting knobs, pushing sliders, kicking antiquated processors in the side. Usual production thing. Y

A lot going on, as always. I'm going to just set them up and knock them down today. Guns, guns, guns. Just heard excerpts of various "state of the state" addresses, including Cuomo (or "governor comb-over" as Matt calls him) and Connecticut's Malloy. I agree with the intent of limiting the firepower of weapons sold in NY and Connecticut, but I have my doubts that a state-by-state approach will ever be effective. The gun nut that lived a block away from me had his gun taken away by police, and yet he still walked into the local AT&T store with an unregistered handgun (one that had been originally stolen out of somebody's car in South Carolina) and tried to blow away everyone behind the counter because he was dissatisfied with the service. If we fix the gun and ammo loopholes in New York, what's to stop someone from driving to Pennsylvania to make their 2nd Amendment purchases?
